Chapter 19: Journey from fruit to juice

The bright orange tangerine rolls from the cage atop the 18-wheeler, tipped 45 degrees so gravity can do its thing and empty the trailer. The semi is only half-full, but do not take that as any lack of fruit. The tangerine is just so tender that if the load were stacked any deeper the globes on the bottom would be flat long before their arrival at Blue Lake Citrus Products.
